Ologbenla Babatunde Smith, a philanthropist, entrepreneur and founder of Givers Supportive Foundation (GSF), has revealed the vision and mission behind the creation of his foundation.

For the renowned Philanthropist being born into a poor family made him develop empathy for the less privileged.

“Growing up, we didn’t have all we wanted. I came from a poor background, what we call less privileged. However, this has made me have empathy for the poor because I have been through what they are going through. Our core vision is to support the poor and the sick. We have been doing this through the support of donors. We have been able to visit over five states and we are currently going to Lagos this December to do more”.

Asked about the milestones of the foundation, Smith said they have been able to help people suffering from deadly diseases.

“Our milestone encourages us to do more. We have helped many suffering from Kidney and heart Diseases, breast cancer, Hydrocephalus which all was successful”.

Sharing how they ensure the process of giving is transparent and devoid of dishonesty, he said: “Immediately we raise fund for anyone, we deliver the money immediately to the person with video proof and the person will do a video confirmation. After uploading this on our page, people will see that we have delivered the money. On our part, we will monitor till the person gets better”.

The Givers Supportive Foundation boss also added that their plan for the rest of year 2021 is to keep getting better and being a beacon of hope to the sick and poor.

GSF Foundation initiator also called on the Federal Government to support more non-profit organizations.

The vivacious personality noted that when the right structure is in place, more people can get the kind of support they need.

“The government should support more people especially the non-profit organizations who use their platforms to help others. We need more equipped hospitals more and funding that will enable NGOs to do more”.
