In their separate speeches during their formal declaration ceremony held at the State APC Secretariat in Umuahia, they appreciated the leadership of the All Progressive Congress for the opportunity and privilege given to them to be members of the party.

They promised to give their best so that the party can take over power come 2023.

The decampees stated that their interest is to add to the development of Abia State and the society.

The new party members added that Abia deserves the best and their entrance into the APC will ensure Abia gets better, seeking their support to draw dividends of democracy to Abia.

They however expressed optimism that APC would win the governorship election come 2023, assuring that they would help in mobilizing new members into the party.

Receiving the decampees, the Abia State chairman of APC, Hon Donatus Nwankpa, commended the new party members for seeing the future that APC represents in the state.

Nwankpa assured them that they will be treated equally with existing members of the party, urging party faithful not to discriminate against the new members.

The chairman while urging them to contribute meaningfully, disclosed that the party in the state is not factionalized.

He further enjoined the members of the party to mobilize Abians to participate in the ongoing INEC continuous voters registration.
