Former Italy striker, Luca Toni has tipped Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen to be Napoli’s goal machine in the Serie A under coach, Luciano Spalletti.
The Nigerian, who had a contrasting first season with Napoli, netted 10 goals in 30 appearances in all competitions despite going through some injury setbacks.
With the new season set to commence, Toni in an interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport, as per Napoli Today, stated that Osimhen has the potential to match the goalscoring feats of the likes of late Diego Maradona and Massimo Maccarone in Napoli colours.
“I expect a lot from Osimhen; he has great potential: when he’s missing, it’s a different Napoli.
“He has power, speed, breaks defences. Spalletti will be able to make him perform at his best.”
