The Orumba Forum, comprising indigenes of Orumba North and South councils of Anambra State, has congratulated the Governor-elect, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, on his victory at the November 6, 2021 governorship election.

In a statement issued at the end of their 2022 first quarter meeting in Lagos, the forum commended Soludo for his leadership qualities and achievements in public service, adding that he remains the best man to lead Anambra State.

The statement, which was jointly signed by new president of the forum, Nnamdi Okonkwo and Secretary, Bigger Ibekwe, also cited Soludo’s issues-based campaigns and realistic, inspiring manifesto with which he won the election.

It pledged support for the Governor-elect and the incoming administration, as Soludo assumes office on March 17, 2022.

The forum also assured the incoming administration of its willingness to collaborate with it in the pursuit of the laudable programmes, especially youth engagement and empowerment.

At the meeting hosted by Okonkwo, the forum also outlined its activities and initiatives for 2022 and beyond, particularly to align with the vision and mission of the Soludo administration of making Anambra State a livable megacity.

The forum’s 2022 first quarter meeting, which was attended by Chief Raymond Obieri and Chief Sylvarius Okoli, among others, also resolved to partner with the incoming administration in the overall development of the state.

Orumba Forum, a body of patriots, who have passion for the development of their home state, has been in existence for over five decades and had positively impacted development in Orumba in several ways, including youth development in sports, scholarship awards and other social welfare programmes.
