The National Appeal Committee set up to reconcile grievances that may arise from the recently concluded ward congress of the All Progressives Congress (APC) party in Katsina State has said that not a single cry of foul play was received from across the state.

While submitting a copy of the committee’s report to Governor Masari at the state Government House, the Committee Chairman, Yakubu Bello said the ward congress held via consensus arrangement in the 361 electoral wards across the state was quite satisfactory as no petition was registered until the expiration of the appeal window.

“We came so that APC members who felt aggrieved with the exercise can approach us in order to ventilate their grievances but we have not received one and our timeline has therefore expired with regard to such notice.

According to Mr Yakubu, from what they met on ground, the local organizing committee, spearheaded by the Governor’s Chief of Staff, Muntari Lawal, left no stone unturned in the conduct of the exercise.

“Our local organising committee was able to deal with all the complaints that came during the congress and dealt with them satisfactorily,” Appeal Committee Chairman said

While reacting to the development after receiving a copy of the report, Governor Masari said he was sure that the party members are satisfied with the manner the ward congresses were conducted across the state even as they look forward to conducting the local government congress soon.

Governor Masari further assured them that his administration will continue to ensure that every member of the party is carried along to ensure a strong and united party ahead of the forthcoming elections.
