Just In: Roads blocked in Angwan Rukuba Community in Jos as Youths Protest

The Residents of Angwan Rukuba community, in Jos North Local Government Area in Plateau State, have reportedly blocked the major ring road passing through the area as a mark of protest over alleged grievances.

The residents led by the youths in the community are alleging what it tagged illegal arrests as a result of boundary disputes over lands around Mega Parks area of the community.

The protest which started in the early hours of Saturday, 20th February 2021, has witnessed demonstrations and blocking of roads by youths carrying various placards with inscriptions, in the area as vehicles were totally blocked from passing through Bauchi Ring Road in Jos Plateau State

As of the time of filing this report, security personnel, swiftly arrived at the scene to ensure law and order as they try to disperse the protesting crowd.
