Aig-Imoukhuede recalled that at a point, his mother told him to stop buying expensive things for her but to give the money to people in need or else she would sell such items and spend the money on charity.
He said: “I guess that is why a friend of mine said that in all he knew, saw and read, my mother could be one of the richest people in Nigeria but she had no interest in personal wealth; not because she had no interest in personal comfort but because everything she thought of was children, friends, family and the needy.
“I know I will need help but I guess that the greatest thing you just need to do for me without fear or hesitation is when you see Aigboje not being compassionate, tell me ‘remember Pastor Emily Okhenren Aig-Imoukhuede.”
