The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced the registration and revalidation of members across the state, saying that its members have been cautioned to obey the guidelines of the party.
Addressing newsmen at the party’s secretariat in Gusau, the state capital, the state committee chairman of the party, Hon. Lawali Liman Kaura said that the registration and revalidation exercise was expected to be hitch free as security operatives would be on top of security issues that may arise.
“The registration and validation exercise would help us to know the actual number of our registered members in the state,” he added.
According to the caretaker committee chairman, every registered member is free to participate in the registration and validation exercise of members.
Hon. Kaura, however, appealed to all party faithful to continue giving their unflinching support to the party, stressing that Zamfara State still remains a strong hold of the APC even though the party did not form government in the state.
“Thank God that the whole crisis that caused deep cracks on the walls of the party has been mended by the intervention of the national headquarters of the party”
Kaura noted that even though the party did not form government in the state in 2019, it still have millions of followers in the state.
He said that the reconciliation between the two warring factions of the party in the state that led by former Governor, Abdul Aziz Yari and senator Kabiru Garbage Marafa would give the party a boost and reposition it.
