The Zamfara State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commenced the second batch of its ongoing membership registration/revalidation exercise.

The State Chairman APC Caretaker Committee, Alhaji Lawal Liman, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Gusau on Friday.

“All the registration centres of the 14 LGAs, 157 wards and 2,516 polling units across the state will embark on the second batch of the exercise,” he said.

He noted that the ongoing membership registration/revalidation exercise of the party had boosted the strength of the party in Zamfara.

Liman expressed the optimism that the exercise would boost party the membership and position it for victory in 2023 and beyond.

According to him, the recent reconciliation of the party’s stakeholders in the state has yielded positive results in promoting unity, peace and stability.

“We have witnessed large turn-out in the registration and revalidation exercise in the first batch of the exercise.

“We expect more than that because large number of members of the party are willing to revalidate their membership.

“We are going to enroll all of them in the second batch of this exercise,” he explained.

Liman commended the APC leader and former governor of the state, Alhaji Abdul’aziz Yari and other stakeholders for their support for the exercise and development of the party.

He called on the party members in the state to continue to be united ahead of subsequent elections in the state.

Also speaking to newsmen, the Secretary of the State Caretaker Committee of the party, Alhaji Sani Musa who is in charge of the distribution of materials for the exercise thanked party officials at council, ward and polling unit levels.

Musa commended the good conduct of the party members during the first batch of the exercise.

“Our hope is that as we started this exercise with progress to record more,” he said.
